Malayan Banking - Good candidate for Besi Karat?
Maybank just concluded the purchase of BII for RM4,000,000,000.00 (yes its four billions) from Singapore (one of their GLC companies). Should they default, a deposits of RM100,000,000.00 (yup 0ne hundred million) will be forfeited....The rest is history already.
Today Maybank announced that their first quarter 2009, profitability dropped almost a quarter percent compared to last year ( http://news.my.msn.com/regional/article.aspx?cp-documentid=1781027 ).
Now...almost tom, dick and harry (include Banglas, Nepals, Indos, Philis...) somehow had an experiences from this so called no one bank in MALAYSIA....no doubt about that....but we do realised they are having the longest and the slowest queing/service delivery system in the country!!! What a contradictory achievement. Try PUBLIC BANK...you'll be surprise rite......So do your part and vote-for-change.
What is RM4,000,000,000.00 as compared to the money well spent in improving their queing/service delivery system?....Peanuts....just a brain and a keen eye..not to boast just a bloated egos of senior management that full with "Besi Karat" in their brains, sacrifying staffs/employees morale but cutting allowances/bonuses that are nothing as compared to their fat sometimes undeserved perks!!!
